Remote Support is only for Prescott College Students and Staff
Teaching is such a rewarding profession. It is not just about relaying information to young people, but it is about relationships and giving students keys to have a successful future. I love our world, travelling and appreciating different cultures. As a Geography teacher, I love to impart this passion and interest to my students. We learn about different geographical landscapes and landforms, but we also understand the impact that we as humans have on our world, and the individual differences that we can make to a better, more sustainable future. Teaching Religion is one of the biggest blessings a person can have. To share the truth about a God who loves, listens, cares and forgives is the most important thing for us to learn. This subject is not about brainwashing and changing a point of view, but sharing the Good News of a God who sent His Son to die that we might live a life of purpose, with hope of an eternal future. Creating art has always been a passion of mine, whether it be sculpting, painting or drawing. I enjoy watching each student produce unique, inspiring, individual artwork which often reflects their personality and character. I love my job, and I am so blessed to teach at Prescott College with amazing colleagues and wonderful students. Ms Hopkins is taking a year off in 2019 to spend some time overseas. She will be returning in Term 1, Week 4, to be involved in the Outdoor Ed camps and also in October to run the STORMCO (Service To Others Really Matters) trip. We look forward to have her join us briefly, until she returns in 2020!
