Everyone is creative. Believe it or not, we are all hard-wired to emulate the Creator God who is spoken of in Genesis Chapter 1 of the Bible.
This chapter clearly states that we, humanity, are made in God’s image. If we read further the text reveals a God who is creative beyond imagination. Consequently, we are all
gifted with the desire and ability to design, create, remodel, and construct in every sphere of our existence.
The PCCA (Prescott College Creative Arts) team made its debut performance last Saturday morning at Para Vista Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The congregation was led in Christian worship through song, drama and the presentation of scripture. Last night more students joined the PCCA to entertain our school community with an impressive variety of quality drama and musical performances during our annual Showcase of the Arts. I want to thank the students involved for their presentation of engaging acts and behind the scenes support. I also want to thank Pastor Ali and Mrs Ronca for their unrelenting efforts in guiding and teaching our Choir and Drama students in preparation for these events. The community at Prescott College is strengthened and enriched by the inclusion of the PCCA into the curriculum.
As our community continues to grow, we need to monitor the needs of our students and plan creatively for the future. To do this successfully, we need parent feedback that indicates levels of satisfaction in a variety of areas. On Tuesday 9 August, all parents/guardians will receive a survey via email. Your feedback will help us to better serve you and your children in the future. As an added incentive, all parents who complete the survey will be placed in a draw for several prizes including an iPad Mini and an Apple TV. I encourage you to participate thoughtfully in this survey and I thank you in advance for your time.
