Term 3, Week 4: Chaplain’s Corner

Do you ever wonder what happens to the gold coin donation that Prescott College students give when they wear casual clothes to school? Well, I did some research!

Prescott College has 4 sponsor students presently. 2 girls and 2 boys who live in India. Each day we have a mufti day all the money donated by the students is put toward paying for the education of these 4 children through Asian Aid. Prescott College has been doing this for at least 15 years. In my digging I found that our oldest sponsor child, Spandana Kapala, has been with us for 15 years and she will be graduating from a Bachelor of Nursing in December! We have planned to send her a video message in the coming weeks to wish her all the best in her exams. Thanks to the generous donations from Prescott College students, families and staff over the years, a sponsor child now has a hope and a future! What a gift!

Thank you all of you for being Jesus’ hands and feet for these children.

“By this will everyone know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.” John 13:35
