This week, the Year 9s travelled to the Grampians for their Camp at Hall’s Gap. During the camp, they pitched their tents and relied on their own cooking skills to survive. Students and staff went on various hikes, including going to the refreshing Venus Baths, the breathtaking Mackenzie Falls, and up mountainous tracks to beautiful views at the top of The Pinnacle. Each group took part in rock climbing and high ropes activities that helped build confidence and reliance on teamwork. For many, the highlight of the camp was a 60m fall from a cliff! Luckily, they were attached to a rope and could lower themselves slowly down and admire the views in the process.
We all arrived back home tired and looking forward to sleeping in our own beds, but we brought back many great memories.
