Dear Prescott College Community,

It is with a heavy heart that I share my decision to leave the wonderful community of Prescott College.

I first joined Prescott in 2016 under the leadership of Peter Charleson, stepping into the role of French teacher. Over the years, I have been grateful for the opportunity to grow within the College, teaching across a range of subjects including Geography, Visual Arts, Child Studies, and Sport, as well as serving in homeroom and Skillset classes from Years 7 to 12. Under new leadership and different management, I have seen the school continuously improve.

My time at Prescott has been deeply formative. I have gained invaluable insight into myself, my profession, my students, and my relationship with God. I have witnessed firsthand the powerful impact that thoughtful, dedicated teaching can have on young people’s lives.

I am truly thankful to have been part of such a supportive and caring community. The encouragement I have received from colleagues, parents, and students has been exceptional, and I feel it reflects the strong values and faith that underpin the Adventist education system. Prescott is a special place—one that genuinely makes a difference in the lives of its students through its commitment to faith, learning, and personal growth.

The dedication of staff, the emphasis on values, and the teachings of the Bible have consistently supported students in their growth over time. These are qualities I will carry with me, and they will continue to guide my practice and decisions into the future.

Thank you to the teachers, parents, and colleagues for your kindness, support, and encouragement. It has been a privilege to work alongside you all.

I wish the entire Prescott community every blessing and a bright future ahead.

Warm regards,
Maxime Goffeau
